About the condition

What is frozen shoulder?

Frozen shoulder makes the shoulder painful and stiff for months. Physiotherapy helps manage pain and gradually restore movement through each stage.

Treatment depends on the stage. In the painful phase we focus on pain relief and gentle movement; in the stiff phase on mobilisation and stretching; in the thawing phase on strength and full function. Recovery can take months, and we help you keep progressing.

FAQs

Questions people ask

How long does frozen shoulder last?

Often 1–2 years in total, but physiotherapy can help you function better throughout.

Should I push through pain?

No. Stretches should be firm but tolerable, especially early on.

Does diabetes matter?

Yes — it is more common and can be slower with diabetes. Keeping sugar controlled helps.
